Nursing interventions in transfusion therapy

ABSTRACT

Advances in medicine have allowed the transfusion of blood components to be a safer procedure, especially in the transmission of infectious agents and transfusion reactions. However, transfusion therapy is a procedure that must be performed by trained professionals following the recommendations of the CPG; Therefore, the objective of this article is to present the interventions and recommendations for nursing in transfusion therapy, achieving a safe procedure for the patient.
