ABSTRACT
The vascular trauma and consequently the hemorrhage control, have played an important roll in the survival of the humanity through its history, and like every beginning, it was the test and error what allowed man kind to learn the need for bleeding control, due to life was depending on it, and is as necessity that, humanity develops a diversity of methods to control hemorrhage, using through history, from the simple logic of comprehension to the biggest advances that nowadays allow us to make vascular reparations through diverse methods that every time increases the technological advances thus the learning and perfectionism of the surgeon ability. The manage of trauma has revolutionized, as the same time as the technology, and ironically, the wars have permitted us to acquire knowledge and experiences helping to progress, going from the comprehension to the application of haemostatic agents , vascular ligature, vascular injury repairing, and the using of grafts, decreasing amputation rate and mortality.
