ABSTRACT
Nanophthalmos is a rare, always bilateral developmental anomaly. It commonly follows an autosomal recessive inheritance pattern. A case is presented of a female 49-year-old patient attending Ramón Pando Ferrer Cuban Institute of Ophthalmology with a history of keratoconus, glaucoma and nanophthalmos (16 mm). Crystalline lens surgery was performed, after which the patient developed complications leading to a new intervention at the Glaucoma and Retina Services. The case is described with the purpose of contributing to the solution of similar future situations.
