ABSTRACT
Introduction: Cleft lip and palate (CFP) is a sequela of cleft lip and palate, its surgery represents a challenge for the maxillofacial surgeon. There are different bone donor sites for alveolar graft surgery.
Objective: To describe the surgical management of the alveolar graft in patients with cleft palate.
Material and methods: In the investigation, a review of a sample of 139 patients with CFP from 2011 to 2021, in Sucre, Bolivia.
Results: The results reflected the iliac crest as the donor site of greatest predilection for surgical repair of CFP.
Conclusion: In this investigation, the surgical management of this pathology revealed data similar to those reported in the international literature.
