Opioid free anesthesia in myocardial revascularization surgery

ABSTRACT

Opioid-free anesthesia is a recognized technique in non-cardiac surgery. However, there are few reports of its use in Cardio surgery. We present a 76-year-old patient with a proven allergy to opioid announced for elective myocardial revascularization in which we introduced this technique for the first time in our center. Its evolution was favorable with postoperative pain according to VAS that ranged between 0 and 3 and was treated with NSAIDs according to protocol.
