Factores psicosociales y vulnerabilidad al estrés en viajeros en aislamiento para vigilancia de COVID-19.

ABSTRACT
Objective: to describe psychosocial factors, emotional experiences and vulnerability to stress in Cuban travelers admitted to an isolation center for surveillance of COVID-19.Materials and methods: a cross-sectional exploratory study was carried out to Cuban people, residents in Sancti Spíritus province coming from abroad and who were admitted to an isolation center for surveillance of COVID-19 during the month of June 2020.
Results: the female sex predominated discreetly over the male with 51.16%, prevailing those from 31 to 59 years old, the percentages of patients with a history of mental health treatment and the use of psychotropic drugs were low. Most of the travelers declared to be in good health and among the patients, Arterial Hypertension predominated as a chronic disease. From the total of patients, 63.31% considered their health was good, expressed concern about infecting the family and suffering from Covid-19 in 89.51% and 66.81% respectively. The majority expressed optimistic projections for the future, having social support from friends and the institution as well. 93.02% of people were not vulnerable to stress and all the negative affective experiences explored were scarcely manifested in these people; moderated anxiety was present in 25.58%.
Conclusions: most of the travelers studied are young and full adults, with a history and perception of good health, which offers them strengths to face the possibility of becoming ill from COVID-19. In correspondence with these conditions, the majority were not vulnerable to stress and negative affective experiences had little impact.
