ABSTRACT
Mondor’s disease of the breast is a rare and benign condition characterized by thrombophlebitis of the superficial veins of the chest wall in the mammary region. In most cases it is unilateral. Clinically it manifests as a rapidly appearing, indurated subcutaneous cord. The etiology of this condition is not yet clear, but it can be related in some cases to local trauma, muscular effort, surgical procedures, and / or others. It mainly affects women between the ages of 21 and 55, although it also affects men, but to a lesser extent. The diagnosis is mainly clinical and only symptomatic treatment with satisfactory evolution without sequelae. We present a case of a 39-year-old female patient with a history of left breast plasty who is diagnosed with this pathology.
