Defectological Intervention in patients with multiple sclerosis

ABSTRACT
Introduction. The Multiple Sclerosis is not a chronic illness transferable, inflammatory that for mechanisms autoimmune, it produces lesions of the myelin and of the axons of the nervous system, and it is the first cause of neurological disability in adults. It affects to the white substance as much in the encephalon as in the marrow, reason for which one can wait that it doesn't only produce physical symptomatology, but also of the functions cognitive. At the present time it constitutes a necessity the upgrade of the programs and methodological orientations for the rehabilitation of these patients. The objective of this work is to evaluate the effect of the Intervention Defectological that is applied patients that enter in the Clinic of Illnesses Spinal cord and Neuromuscular with a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Methods: Their elaboration was supported by bibliographical consultations on the illness, symptomatology and focus physiotherapeutic. It was applied 20 patients that completed McDonald's approaches a daily hour during 2 treatment cycles. Results: It was demonstrated before by means of the evaluation of the variables and after the treatment that the obtained results reached a significant improvement. The same ones were processed by the statistical package SPSS. Conclusions: The Intervention Defectological has an effect neurorestorative in the functional physical development, the training of the psychic processes and the increment of the muscular force of the patient studied.REFERENCES
