ABSTRACT
Introduction. The survival of patients with acute myocardial infarction has increased in recent years. Generally speaking, most patients who present with post-infarction ventricular tachycardias (VT) have an implantable automatic defibrillator (IAD) that will save their lives during an episode of ventricular arrhythmia. Methods. With the development of non-fluoroscopic navigation systems, the ablation of either the substrate or the arrhythmia itself has become very popular in these patients with good results. VT ablation was performed in 5 patients, all of them with ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy, ICD and appropriate discharges from it. Results. The recurrence rate in these 5 patients was close to 40%. Conclusions. Substrate ablation in ischemic patients with VT and ICD is a safe procedure.REFERENCES
