ABSTRACT
The capillary losses that we see every day in our work spaces
are mostly not so difficult to diagnose. We can start a treatment
with the therapeutic arsenal that we have and generally,
patients and doctors are satisfied with the results.
However, there is an important group of patients who present
relapses or who develop greater capillary loss or even other
trichological conditions at the same time.
We report two clinical cases that involve damage to the
capillary immunological privilege and in addition, two or more
disorders are combined at the same time, being progressive and
impacting the personal image of each patient.
The study of personal habits, contributing diseases, as well
as the intake of some medications, is extremely important to
be able to determine the origin of relapses or the worsening
of cases. The immune privilege collapses and will not only be
affected in scarring alopecia, it can also induce, accompany and
give an unexpected turn to the therapeutic response.
It is extremely important to have a comprehensive approach
to each patient and thus be able to understand a little
better the evolution that their disease is following as well as the
possible causes of relapses.
