ABSTRACT
Idiopathic scrotal calcinosis is a rare, benign scrotum´s skin disease that occurs as calcified and asymptomatic nodules. As it is peculiar in its presentation and due to the poor casuistic in the world medical literature, the case of a 74-year-old patient, who had two years ago multiple subcutaneous, bilateral nodulatory formations in the scrotum region, is described. The formations were easily movable, firm, an average size of 0.9 cm in diameter. The histopathological study confirmed the presence of calcium inside each lesion. It was concluded that idiopathic scrotal calcinosis is a benign condition with an unknown pathogenesis, usually asymptomatic, but due to aesthetic reasons it can affect the quality of life and self-esteem of the patient. The diagnosis is made through histopathological studies and the choice treatment is the surgical excision.
