ABSTRACT

Cardiac rehabilitation (RHC) isn’t just about exercise, the cardiac rehab programs now have new tools and techniques to achieve better health for their patients. Patients are taught to take the initiative for their rehabilitation and modify their risk factors themselves. Education improves understanding about disease and patients can achieve improved quality of life by developing a new lifestyle. Nurses play an important role in these programs. Nurses find in cardiac rehabilitation an important field to put in practice and increase their clinical, administrative, educational, social and research skills.
