ABSTRACT
This paper analyses the results of the investigations related to the effects of thyroid hormones in the human brain during neurodevelopment, which are organizational and activators types. The first determine the cytoarquitecture and are permanent; while the seconds are functional and they can vary over time. The results obtained from samples of Cuban, Canadian and Spaniard children with congenital hypothyroidism, treated precociously are presented. Suggestions include the correct cognitive evaluation of these patients and their implications.
