ABSTRACT
Anal fissure is a line-form tear in the distal anal canal, right under the anal margin. It is a common disorder that affects all the age groups but most commonly seen in young, healthy people. Proctologic pathology has had a technological outburst, nowadays botulinic toxin, seems to play a very important part in improving the curing index of these patients. It has shown encouraging results in improving the tone in revision all around the world. This revision comments on the advantages and complications related to this injection of neurotoxin in the anal sphincter. This studies show that the toxin reduces tone without any permanent complication to patients. Being a valid alternative to avoid high costs and surgical risks.
