International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health in A Patient with Spinal Cord Injury

ABSTRACT
The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (CIF) as a conceptual framework allows addressing disability and human functioning related to health from a biopsychosocial approach. The presentation of a person with a disability who undergoes rehabilitation at the “Julio Díaz” Hospital, due to a complete spinal cord injury at the C5 level that presented skin complications, rehabilitative treatment initially focuses on the treatment of pressure ulcers; In a second admission, the physiological diagnosis is made through the CIF language, the present contextual factors are evidenced, the extension or magnitude of the deficiency is quantified through the qualifiers, the intervention table is performed according to the quantitative and qualitative analysis obtained to provide a biopsychosocial approach. With this presentation it is possible to carry out the physiological diagnosis and to project the rehabilitative treatment.REFERENCES
