ABSTRACT
The clinical evidence that has made it possible to link diabetes mellitus with infertility is based on the importance of glucose metabolism during the spermatogenesis process, because in episodes of both hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia, epigenetic changes can occur in some proteins involved in spermatogenesis. This communication describes the theoretical aspects of the effects of diabetes on seminal fluid with emphasis on spermatogenesis.REFERENCES
