ABSTRACT
Objective: To analyze the factors correlated with the perception in relation to the pharmacological management of insulin
in diabetic patients.
Methods: Analytical cross-sectional survey in people over 18 years of age with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
The insulin treatment perception scale was applied to them. Inferential analysis with χ
2.
Results: 360 patients were included,
the female sex predominated, regarding the perception of pharmacological treatment with insulin, 55% agreed or totally agreed with the application of insulin and 45% disagreed or totally disagreed.
Conclusions: There is a good perception of
the use of insulins, however, there are factors that can intervene in a negative perception of their use.
