In Mexico and Latin America there are different national and international organizations and certifications that seek to assess the environmental impact of health industries with the purpose of decreasing the carbon footprint through ecotechniques and sustainable practices. It seeks to raise awareness among health professionals and all personnel who work in it about the official regulations established by the Ministry of Health of our country for the correct use of resources, their handling and disposal. The ABC Medical Center, Santa Fe and Observatory Campus and Mexico City; it is a private hospital endorsed by different certifications that support hospital sustainability through organizations such as Salud Sin Daño and the Joint Commission International. The Global Network of Green Hospitals through Health Without Harm, states that the ABC Medical Center belongs to the mentioned organization thanks to its practices in sustainability through its environmental management area. It was found that the correct disposal of waste according to NOM-087-ECOL-SSA1-2002 together with intra-hospital practices for material control reduced the use of resources and implemented improvements in their use. The uncontrolled use of resources leads to emphasizing health standards on the use of materials and innovating in hospital sustainability through ecological practices.REFERENCES
