ABSTRACT
Scientific research has produced great benefits for humanity, however, throughout history, they have also represented ethical dilemmas. Most authors place the Nuremberg Code, the Declaration of Helsinki and the Belmont Report as basic milestones in the history of ethical research. Before starting an investigation, the nursing professional should consider the appropriateness and correctness of both the objectives that he intends to achieve and the means that he intends to use to carry it out. This consideration of objectives and actions is the object of ethics. A qualitative descriptive study was carried out with the aim of enriching the body of knowledge of the profession, highlighting the importance of ethical principles in the development of scientific research, to improve the quality of care provided by nursing professionals. This study allowed the development of nursing as a profession to be promoted and constitutes a fundamental part for a correct attention to human health.REFERENCES
