ABSTRACT
The giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath is a benign soft tissue neoplasm; its frequency is variable, it has been reported as the second most frequent soft tissue tumor when it comes to the hand and wrist. We present a case of a 68-year-old woman with clinical suspicion, for which a magnetic resonance was requested; where the classic imaging characteristics are documented and subsequently it was confirmed by histopathology. The importance of imaging studies impacts the final result of a treatment since it seeks to determine the extent and complications before surgery to reduce the recurrence that represents up to 20% of cases.REFERENCES
