ABSTRACT
Medical training in the country has traditionally favored the acquisition of clinical competencies and skills for institutionalized medicine and for private practices, but the changing health demands of the community, necessary to organize a fairer and more equitable medicine, have been neglected. This article raises a reflection on the need to carry out community medicine practices as part of undergraduate and graduate training.
