ABSTRACT
In March 2020, there were 118000 cases of COVID-19 in 114 countries, and more than 4000 deaths from this disease; at that time, the World Health Organization declared it a pandemic. Although respiratory symptoms are clinically prevalent in the clinical manifestations of COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 infection may also be responsible for the presence of cardiovascular disorders. On a global scale, there has been a significant decrease in seeking for medical attention by patients, over COVID-19-nonrelated disorders, due to the concern of acquiring the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the hospital environment. In order to draw attention to the importance of the timely search for medical assistance in patients with cardiovascular symptoms in times of such a pandemic, the following case is presented, which is the first to address this issue in Cuba.REFERENCES
