ABSTRACT
Awake craniotomy refers to those procedures in which the patient remains conscious for all or part the time, with the aim of explore in real time the integrity of their higher brain functions. This kind of neuroanesthetic techniques are useful in assisting the neurosurgeon to preserve the integrity of the brain or not to damage more than what the disease has caused.
