ABSTRACT
Mirizzi syndrome is caused by an impacted gallstone on Hartmanns pouch or cystic duct, with partial or complete obs-
truction of the main bile duct. It is reported in 0.7 to 3% in patients with cholelithiasis, predominantly in women. It is a pa-
thology uncommonly reported in pediatric patients. To diagnose Mirizzi syndrome represents a great challenge. However,
awareness and recognition of this syndrome is essential for safe intervention. We report the clinical case of a 16-year-old
woman, who is diagnosed with Mirizzi syndrome by endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography (ERCP).
