ABSTRACT
Nose is the central organ of the face and an essential part when talking about beauty.
Since ancient times, different practices and techniques to modify its shape have been
documented that laid the foundations for modern rhinoplasty. The techniques used
over time to improve nasal surgery denote the human creativity required to achieve the
desired results and make rhinoplasty, in addition to a complex and meticulous surgery,
a form of art, which can create and transform the essence of a person. This paper collects
the changes and evolution of rhinoplasty through history, from the first records of
its existence to the development of modern techniques that are still used.
