ABSTRACT
A child with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia developed disseminated fungal disease predominantly involving the liver, spleen and kidneys. The patient were undergoing induction chemotherapy and had neutropenia. Once neutropenia was recovered, hepatosplenomegaly and hypoechoic areas in liver, spleen and kidneys are observed. The fungal blood cultures were positive to
Candida tropicalis, with a positive manan antigen detection in serum for
Candida.
Patient was treated with amphotericin B without interruption of the planned chemotherapy regimens.
