ABSTRACT
To optimize the use of resources for the diagnosis of systemic autoimmune diseases, it is necessary that the first contact physician and the internist be trained in the current diagnostic criteria of these diseases. The study of the rates of positivity in diagnostic studies allows us to be alert to the training needs focused on the diagnosis of these diseases and to guide medical education activities and is also important to reduce the costs of medical care in institutions and for patients. The positivity rates in 12,042 autoimmunity tests for the diagnosis of systemic autoimmune diseases was studied. Only 8.7% of men and 18.8% of women had positive tests.REFERENCES
