Amyotrophic ambliopia. Case report

ABSTRACT
What the case contributes again: the interesting of thit contribution in this case is the relation between isolateral ametropia in preschool children that they can´t develop symptoms related, because they have poor vision in both eyes and no reference to good vision, on certain occasions these defects come unseen and it just in the school the tescher with experience realice of the visión déficit. It is presented the clinical case of a four years old female sex patient evaluated at the "William Soler" Hospital, that was previously treated in her health area on suspicion of amblyopia with indication of eyeglasses. Mainly clinical symptoms: the mother says the baby suffers headaches being near the television. Mainly clinical signs: conjunctival injection. Mainly diagnostig and interventions: bilateral amblyopia by isoametropia, diaggnostic after the ophthalmology and optometric examination with study of binocular vision and refraction under cycloplegia. Mainly results: the patient is carrier of amblyopia by isoametropia due to an compound hypermetropic astigmatism causing her symptoms that does not agree with the previous diagnosis. Correction with crystals is indicated permanently and periodic evaluations. Conclusions: the attention in the pediatric age is very hypersensitive, that infant begins his link with the surrounded ambiance therefore, it result essential a good sharp visual. The optometrist of the primary attention of health should be capable to reach these diagnostic, because they are the closest to provide this service.REFERENCES
