ABSTRACT
Introduction: the actions aimed at the development of informational skills in the use of Galen Clinics in tutors of the Health Information Systems career in Havana, requires a diagnosis that allows, from the identified deficiencies, working in order to achieve greater results. Objective: to diagnose the current state of informational skills in the use of Galen Clinics in tutors of the Health Information Systems career in Havana. Method: it was carried out a transversal descriptive study, in a universe of 30 tutors and 10 professors of the career of Health Information Systems in Havana. There were built and validated the instruments. It was parameterized the variable "informational skills in the use of Galen Clinics in tutors of the career of Health Information Systems" with 5 dimensions and 22 indicators. The summary measures used were absolute and relative frequency. Results: the dimension that showed the best results was assistance dimension. In the integral evaluation of the variable, the category of inadequate predominated, in 68.9% of the study universe, followed by 21.1% as inadequate. In 66% of tutors and up to 70% of teachers surveyed, the variable of inadequate was evaluated. Insufficiencies and potentialities were listed in each of the dimensions. Conclusions: in the diagnosis of the current situation carried out, more than a third of those surveyed valued the variable as inadequate for the development of the required information skills.REFERENCES
