ABSTRACT

The parasitic abilities of the helminths and cestodes in relation to human beings are described, together with the signs and symptoms they provoke, the way to suspect the diagnosis on clinical grounds and how to confirm it in the laboratory. Medical treatments for each entity are detailed in addition to advisable prevention measures, both individually and for the community.
