ABSTRACT
Introduction: The system of specific skills that has been designed for the family medicine residency must provide the professional training process with an updated instrument in its specialization and scientific activity based on health requirements.Objective: To prepare a proposal for the improvement of the card of specific skills for the family medicine specialization.
Methods: A pedagogical study guided by the dialectical-materialist method was carried out at Pedro Borrás Astorga University Polyclinic in Pinar del Río City, during the year 2018. Methods of the theoretical and empirical levels were used.
Conclusions: The improvement of specific skills in family medicine residents represents a challenge to be taken within their training program.
