ABSTRACT

By means of an observational, transversal and analytic study the accuracy of the method of clinic teaching at several sites of the Iztacala-UNAM medical school, was surveyed. Through an estimate of execution of 19 basic tasks to 450 students attending 10 different separate hospitals, in two phases, an indicator was obtained as the level of this stage of learning, of great transcendency for the future doctor. The method used in tutelary teaching, the type of communication professor-student, the professor’s capacity on technical didactics, the institutional opportunities for the and teaching the student’s satisfaction with the knowledge received, were evaluated. Some inadequacy in particular in certain areas was elicited and several proposals came out to overcome the detected inconsistencies.
