ABSTRACT
Spinal anesthesia is the anesthesic technique of choice for different surgical procedures. There are several kinds of spinal needles, which have a different impact according to each patients physiological characteristics. Even though spinal needle fracture is very rare, it is among the risk factors that may lead to several complications associated with spinal anesthesia. In this article, we refer to a case of spinal needle fracture during an anesthesic procedure, reported at "La Perla" General Hospital, in Nezahualcoyotl, State of Mexico. Also, we mention the steps that were followed in order to solve our case. Finally, we offer some advice to the specialized readers, in case they have to face a similar incident.
