ABSTRACT
The urinary lithiasis in pediatric patients is uncommon. The treatment in ureteral and renal stones is usually open surgery.
In this article two cases of pediatric patients are presented with urinary lithiasis managed endoscopically; one 2 years old patient with two stones, one in the inferior ureter and other in the left renal pelvis, where treated with ureterolithotripsy and pielolithotripsy. The other case was a 7 years old patient with ureteral stone in the left third superior, also treated endoscopically.
The two cases were performed without complications and satisfactory evolution. In both cases was used pneumatic lithotripsy and after the stones fragmentation the patient placed with double J catheter.
The endoscopic treatment for urinary lithiasis has advanced in the last years, offering the advantages of this procedures for pediatric patients.
