ABSTRACT
Masculinity is a concept that refers to the practices that the group of men generally act and that maintains and legitimizes the subordination of women. There are theorists who claim that religion has participated in building hegemonic masculinity, as well as studies that claim that it builds a positive masculinity. A cross-sectional design was carried out using 3 instruments that measure religiosity and masculinity to a population of men between 18 and 25 years of age who attended a religious or secular high school. No correlations were found between religiosity and masculinity, but differences bin masculinity and religiosity between the group of men who attended religious and secular schools.
