ABSTRACT
Introduction: More than 10 years after the Nursing Networks in the Americas were created, there have been important changes that have modified the way of thinking and acting of nursing professionals in the region, which means that they have played a fundamental role in these transformations. Objective: To explore the perception of Ibero-American members of international nursing networks about the impact of the networks on their actions.
Methods: Participatory action (qualitative) research carried out from March to April 2017. Motivations and perceptions were studied in 11 of 30 members of the International Nursing Networks who responded to an interview sent by email. Three criteria were considered in the processing of the data: favorable, moderately favorable, and not favorable.
Results: 36.66% of members of the International Nursing Networks answered the questionnaire; 54.54% of the answers were favorable, 27.27% were moderately favorable, and 18.18% were not favorable.
Conclusions: The discipline develops networks as a means to strengthen and enrich the profession in Latin America. The results obtained from the responses received were not as expected; more precise and timely actions are required so that these teams can remain active and obtain better results in a collaborative way of acting towards universal health, in order to contribute to the sustainable development of the health systems.
