ABSTRACT
The Molar-Incisive Hipomineralization (MIH) is a developmental defect of the enamel of indefinite etiology. The restorative decision depends on the child's age, orthodontic considerations, other dental anomalies, degree of severity, pulp vitality, third molar germ, possibility of restoration and the cost of treatment.
Objective: to rehabilitate a pediatric patient with severe and moderate MIH.
Case description: male patient 10.10 years old, with multiple carious lesions, severe MIH in the right and left lower right first molar, with pulp vitality; Moderate in lower left; Light in incisors. We performed prophylaxis, application of fluoride, indirect pulp coating, were reconstructed with glass ionomer and chrome steel crowns. The lower left was restored with high strength hybrid glass ionomer with photocurable coating. Daily use of CPP-ACP. Two months later fluoride varnish was applied again. The pulp state and restorations with stable evolution.
