ABSTRACT
Breastfeeding according to WHO comprises a physiological process that has the human being and whose purpose is to provide the infant with a natural food containing the factors necessary for optimal growth and is recommended to be performed until at least 2 years of age. When this is prolonged it is considered as a risk factor for decay.
Objective: To inform all health personnel who can influence the population with accurate information about the benefits of breastfeeding.
Development: Male of 2 years 11 months of age who was breastfed in an extended manner, demonstrating according to his age all the benefits that breast milk has given clinically the skeletal and muscular maturation favoring the harmonious growth of the mouth, including benefits Immunological,affective and psychological.
Conclusion: When breastfeeding is extended all benefits are prolonged as long as strict oral hygiene is maintained, good dietary habits in combination with a specialized oral care protocol according to the age of the patient.
