ABSTRACT
Leukemia are a group of diseases characterized by infiltration of neoplastic cells from the hematopoietic system into bone marrow, blood and other tissues. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) constitutes 75-80% of pediatric leukemias presenting as the most common childhood cancer. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) refers to the importance of maintaining optimal oral health to prevent possible Oral complications resulting from the disease and / or cancer therapy. Objective: To present the pediatric dentistry management in the oral rehabilitation of a patient with ALL. Development: A 6-year-old female patient diagnosed with ALL. Clinical examination shows dentobacterial plaque, gingivitis, caries lesions of dental organs (OD) .16,36,46,53,54,55,63,64,65,74,75,84,85. Interconsultation is requested with treating physician. Prophylaxis was performed, placement of fluoride varnish, rehabilitation of carious lesions with OD glass ionomer. 16,36,46,53,63,64,65 and resin OD.53,54,55,65,84, crown OD.85,74, extraction OD.75 with posterior placement of a band. Conclusion: Patients with ALL must be treated in a multidisciplinary way , and with this to avoid any oral complications, improving their quality of life.REFERENCES
