ABSTRACT
Pulp treatment in deciduous dentition is important because it not only helps to maintain and conserve the space of permanent teeth but also helps the development of phonation, feeding, breathing and aesthetic harmony of the child. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the CTZ and UltrapexTM paste in children who attend the clinic in child dentistry. Materials and methods: The study was performed with 22 patients, who were treated with a non-instrumented pulpectomy procedure obturated with CTZ and Pulpectomy instrumented with stepback technique, which were obturated with UltrapexTM, were reevaluated to obtain health variables Intraoral and radiographic. Results: 54.54% (n = 12) were treated with Ultrapextm; 45.7% (n = 10) were treated with CTZ paste, 100% (n = 22) were successful treatments, clinically results were obtained from pediatric pediatric dentists who were: 22.72% (n = 5) At the time of dispensing both materials, 81.81% (n = 18) had difficulties in rectifying their obturation with Ultrapex and 100% (n = 22) agreed that access to the CTZ purchase was very limited. Regarding intraoral evaluation, 100% (n = 22) of the participants did not have inflammation, however, 9% (n = 2) presented fistula even after 7 days after treatment. In the radiographic evaluation the resorption was discarded in 100% (n = 22) and only 4.5% (n = 1) presented a radiolucidal zone in the periapical zone.REFERENCES
