Methodological proposal for thesis defenses of master’s degrees in virtual mode, with the MOODLE platform

ABSTRACT
Introduction: The pandemic generated by the COVID 19, has led to take measures at the country level, to prevent the spread of this disease, where physical distancing is one of them, being necessary to implement tele-education at its highest expression, under complex circumstances, which included the transformation of curricula into the virtual modality. The Ministry of Higher Education, in response to this epidemiological contingency, pronounces itself through the "Official Gazette No. 27 Extraordinary", protecting the defense of theses or final works in this modality.Objective: To propose a methodology that validates the procedure of performing thesis defenses of master’s degrees in virtual mode, with MOODLE platform.
Methods: Theoretical and empirical methods were used. The proposal took into account, the role to be played by each of the actors of the process, with a participation of 20 that formed the universe, which by using tools of the Virtual Classroom, under a logical succession, led to the procedure being followed as guidance.
Results: The results obtained in the validation of the proposal were positive, it contributes with important contributions and technological innovation that represents a significant social economic saving, validating the current status of the project.
Conclutions: The study offers the solution to the problem posed, by adapting to the virtuality of the acts of defense of theses of study programs such as master’s degrees with a very satisfactory assessment.
