ABSTRACT
Nevus lipomatosus cutaneous superficialis (NLCS) is a rare hamartomatous malformation. It can be present at birth or appear during childhood affecting both genders equally. It is classified clinically as classic or solitary type. We present a 55-years-old woman with a 15 years history with a large multilobed neoformation on the lumbar region with progressive growth. We performed an incisional biopsy which reported an ectopic adipocyte proliferation integrating the diagnosis of a giant lipomatosus cutaneous superficialis nevus, treated with wide surgical resection with good results.REFERENCES
