ABSTRACT
Introduction: In March 2020, Covid-19 was declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization. The asymptomatic patient with cardiovascular morbidity poses a challenge for the worldwide public health systems.
Objectives: Determine the predictors related to the further presence of symptoms in asymptomatic patient upon admission.
Methods: A descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried in 32 randomly chosen cardiac patients diagnosed with Covid-19. The predictive model was developed by binary logistic regression and its calibration using the Hosmer-Lemeshow test.
Results: The mean age was 59,41 years +/-20,87. The area under the ROC curve was 0,73 (p=0,028)
Conclusions: The predictors related to the further presence of symptoms in asymptomatic patient upon admission were ischemic heart disease, bronchial asthma and elevated C reactive protein.
