Manejo de la Migraña en el Departamento de Emergencias

RESUMEN
La migraña es una condición crónica de carácter
neurovascular, episódico y multifactorial; afecta a
hombres y mujeres en todo el mundo. Es causada
por actores genéticos y ambientales. La presentación
clínica consiste en cefalea recurrente, ésta puede
ser pulsátil o no y se puede asociar a nauseas,
vomito, fotofobia o fonofobia. Se realizan estudios
de neuroimagen en presencia de banderas rojas de
cefalea. El tratamiento del dolor agudo se determina
según la severidad y la frecuencia de los ataques de
migraña y la toma o no de medicacion previa.
