El hemangioma elastolítico adquirido es una proliferación
vascular benigna que clásicamente afecta a
adultos de edad avanzada en sitios de exposición solar.
Fue descrito por primera vez por Requena en 2002 en seis
pacientes femeninas como una nueva variante de hemangioma,
hasta ahora se han descrito alrededor de 50 casos.
La edad de presentación observada es entre los 50 a 82
años, con una media de 64 años.2,3
