RESUMEN

El propósito de esta breve revisión es actualizar al lector acerca de los avances recientes en el diagnóstico clínico y tratamiento de niños con absceso cerebral. Se hace énfasis en los mecanismos de diseminación bacteriana, en el diagnóstico y en el tratamiento médico y quirúrgico de estos pacientes.
