Síndrome del manguito de los rotadores: generalidades en el manejo no quirúrgico para el primer nivel de atención

RESUMEN
El dolor de hombro es una de las quejas más comunes entre ortopedistas y
médicos de atención primaria. El síndrome del manguito de los rotadores
es una de las causas más frecuentes de dolor y debilidad del hombro,
puede ser desencadenado por un evento agudo o por enfermedad crónica
que afecta el tendón del manguito de los rotadores. Las adecuadas
técnicas y maniobras en el examen físico aíslan el musculo ayudando al
adecuado diagnóstico del síndrome. Respecto al manejo y tratamiento
conservador la terapia física y algunos fármacos antiinflamatorios juegan el
papel principal para su abordaje mientras no exista desgarro completo del
tendón.
