RESUMEN
La pandemia del nuevo coronavirus COVID-19 ha infectado a más de 800,000 casos en todo el mundo y aún no hay vacuna ni tratamiento específico. Como especialistas en el manejo de la vía aérea, los anestesiólogos estamos expuestos a las secreciones y con un alto riesgo de contraer la infección por COVID-19. En esta revisión se muestran las recomendaciones para disminuir el riesgo a través de técnicas de control de infecciones.
