INTRODUCCIÓN
La evaluación del riesgo cardiovascular preoperatorio en la cirugía no cardiaca, como puede ser el caso de una revisión artroplástica, constituye una consulta cotidiana para el Servicio de Medicina Interna, ya que las complicaciones cardiovasculares son una de las principales causas de morbimortalidad en el periodo postoperatorio con implicaciones clínicoquirúrgicas, económicas y médico-legales muy importantes.
