Deterioro cognitivo moderado y factores de riesgo

RESUMEN
El deterioro cognitivo moderado es un síndrome
caracterizado por deterioro en la memoria sin
afectación en las habilidades funcionales del individuo.
Esa condición esta asociada con un incremento en
la mortalidad y depresión. Tiene asociados múltiples
factores de riesgo como son: ser persona adulta mayor,
tabaquismo, sedentarismo, obesidad, hipertensión
arterial, hiperglicemias, estados inflamatorios, accidentes
vasculares cerebrales, enfermedad arterial coronaria,
fibrilación atrial, enfermedad renal crónica, entre otras; lo
que conlleva a controlar de la mejor forma estos factores
para evitar la aparición y progresión a demencia.
